This past weekend, my boyfriend and I went to Wayhome for the first time ever! For those of you who have no idea what Wayhome is, here’s a quick little rundown: Wayhome is a music festival filled with many different acts, spread throughout three days. Many music lovers like to camp out for the entire weekend, so that they can enjoy as many artists as they want to see! As any normal person who attends festivals does, you sort of collect a million pictures and you never really know what you should do with them. So, I thought I would share a visual diary of our weekend with you!
Yes, there were two people holding both ends of a long line of balloons. It was amazing. They also changed the colours daily, and I absolutely needed to hold the pink balloons on the last day of the music festival.
Luckily, there were lots of food truck options at the festival and we were sipping on Station Cold Brew all day long. It seriously saved us from the fact that we got very little sleep (since we wanted to go to all of the late shows and wake up early to explore)!
The calm before the storm (and by storm I mean masses of people running from stage to stage to catch the next artist).
MEC had the cutest photo booth set up in an old bus camper! My friend Lucey also came with friends to the festival, so I was glad we ended up meeting up and spending lots of the weekend together.
My gorgeous friend Amy was also at Wayhome with Poppies and Peonies (seriously the cutest purse brand ever!) You should totally check them out if you’ve never heard of them.
Tidbits of my flower crown in the making.
My boyfriend, Mr. Cavaliere, on the hunt for the next show.
And finally, the headliner of the whole festival and the artist that we were most excited to see, Frank Ocean. His set was seriously amazing and I was so surprised with how humble he was (he literally asked his band to play a couple of songs from the top because he messed up some lyrics, but didn’t want to disappoint the crowd). His visuals for the performance were also unreal and you felt like you were watching a really beautiful movie in the making.
Taking a break in between shows.
All and all we had an amazing weekend and enjoyed our cozy sleeps in our MEC tent with all of our MEC gear. If you’ve never been to Wayhome before, you should definitely think about going next year!
