If you’ve been reading my blog for a little bit (okay, maybe for the last few weeks) you’ll know that I love finding cute spots to check out in Toronto and dining on all the cuisine they have to offer. A couple of weekends ago, my friends and I figured that it was well time for a brunch date and we decided to venture to The Broadview Hotel.
Despite very well being a hotel, The Broadview Hotel is also a hot spot of good eats. Not only do they have a well-lit and colourful cafe downstairs, but they also have an airy restaurant up top, called The Rooftop. We actually didn’t realize that the restaurant wouldn’t be open until 12 on Sunday’s, so when we arrived at 10:30 am we decided that coffee was needed (and so were many, many photos, of the cute cafe area).
When we finally were able to go upstairs to the restaurant, even our hungry stomachs were silenced when we saw how pretty The Rooftop was! From the textured walls to the open-concept ceilings with hanging plants, every detail in the restaurant was cleverly fleshed out and executed. Don’t you worry, we also had the opportunity to snap a couple of shots of the restaurant before it quickly filled up (and with good reason).
Once we had sat down, checked out the menus and ordered some cocktails, we were ready to eat! To drink, I got the Becky with the Good Hair (yes, that’s totally the best name for a cocktail in the history of ever) and since the plates were sharing plates, I thought I would get two for me to share (with myself).
All in all, I have to say that the food was pretty good, but the interior was definitely the winner when it comes to The Broadview Hotel. If you ever randomly find yourself in the east end in Toronto, you should totally check it out!
