My First Time: Visiting The Broadview Hotel

If you’ve been reading my blog for a little bit (okay, maybe for the last few weeks) you’ll know that I love finding cute spots to check out in Toronto and dining on all the cuisine they have to offer. A couple of weekends ago, my friends and I figured that it was well time for a brunch date and we decided to venture to The Broadview Hotel.

Despite very well being a hotel, The Broadview Hotel is also a hot spot of good eats. Not only do they have a well-lit and colourful cafe downstairs, but they also have an airy restaurant up top, called The Rooftop. We actually didn’t realize that the restaurant wouldn’t be open until 12 on Sunday’s, so when we arrived at 10:30 am we decided that coffee was needed (and so were many, many photos, of the cute cafe area).

When we finally were able to go upstairs to the restaurant, even our hungry stomachs were silenced when we saw how pretty The Rooftop was! From the textured walls to the open-concept ceilings with hanging plants, every detail in the restaurant was cleverly fleshed out and executed. Don’t you worry, we also had the opportunity to snap a couple of shots of the restaurant before it quickly filled up (and with good reason).

Once we had sat down, checked out the menus and ordered some cocktails, we were ready to eat! To drink, I got the Becky with the Good Hair (yes, that’s totally the best name for a cocktail in the history of ever) and since the plates were sharing plates, I thought I would get two for me to share (with myself).

All in all, I have to say that the food was pretty good, but the interior was definitely the winner when it comes to The Broadview Hotel. If you ever randomly find yourself in the east end in Toronto, you should totally check it out!

With love,

    1. Bahaha you know I’m a sneaky photo-taker! Totally agree with the price point, but the atmosphere was definitely a winner here!

    1. If you get the chance to visit Toronto in the future, you should definitely stay here or check this place out!! Super cute (and I think the prices for rooms are pretty affordable too!)

  1. What I adore about your blog is that it’s from Toronto and I only moved away a couple of years ago, but miss it. The foodie scene is SO good and so under-rated. There are always new spots opening up and such great spots to dine. This makes me miss it a lot, and now that I’m gone and more places are popping up, yours keeps me in the loop lol Love the space of The Broadview Hotel. I used to live in Leslieville area and always have to pass Broadview on the way downtown. ๐Ÿ™‚ That area has changed so much in the last 7 years. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Awe you are too kind girl!! The foodie scene is the best in Toronto, so I love exploring to new places. Omg did you really live downtown too?! I know right, it’s completely different now!! Thanks for taking a read darling.

  2. I can’t believe I’ve never been here, I live so close to Toronto and love checking out new spots! Your drinks and food look amazing, and the whole vibe and atmosphere of this spot looks great. Thank you for sharing this xx

  3. Love the fun sleeves on your top! ๐Ÿ™‚

The hotel looks beautiful and the food delicious – especially those tacos, yum! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! We did a lot of Christmasy things like putting our tree up which was good, and they predicted wild weather but so far it’s staying away which is nice.

    1. Awe thanks so much girl, it’s one of my fave tops! Awe that sounds like so much fun, glad you had a great weekend!!

  4. I love how The Broadview Hotel looks! Kind of reminds me that there are boutique hotels that look 1000x better than the standard hotel chains. The interior looks super chic and perfect for some brunch get-togethers. Glad you enjoyed the food there. Definitely, a place I need to check out if I ever end up in Toronto!
