My First Time: Making a What’s in My Bag Video

Making videos are weird. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that when people make videos on YouTube they’re weird themselves — I think that talking to a camera in a room when you’re by yourself (or possibly not) can feel pretty weird. Or uncomfortable. Or like you’re having a conversation with yourself. Thankfully, the lovely people from dubdub are making brands and influencers’ lives easier (and less weird) with their new app, dubsuite.

I’m guessing you’re wondering, “what the heck is dubdub?!”

Well, dubdub is a video platform for creators and brands to quickly make and create content when they’re on the go. Their mission is simple: they want to bring mobile video shooting, editing, sharing and shopping to everybody. So when they invited me to make a video and give me a quick tutorial on how dubsuite works, I was totally in.

As I used to be a Junior Promotions Producer in broadcast for a large telecommunications company, I already knew a thing or two about using video editing programs. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate editing at all, it’s just… a really lengthy process. That’s why I was super happy when I was testing out dubsuite (because, well, it’s pretty damn simple to use). You just film your content, chop it up into your timeline and voila, you’re done. No really, it’s that simple. You can even add text and music to your little film creation! I honestly can’t believe how fast the process was and I surprisingly had a lot of fun the whole time I was playing around with it.

Okay, enough chatting from me… here it is… my first time making a what’s in my bag video. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much again to dubdub for teaching me their editing ways and showing me that making videos doesn’t have to be super hard (or feel weird).

With love,

  1. I LOVE your video!! I have been toying with the idea of starting videos soon too because as an actress I feel like this would be REALLY valuable for me to do. Sad thing is I literally have no idea how to make one. Maybe you can help me one day <3

    1. Awe thanks girl!! I felt so awkward at first, but then it came naturally when I started talking more. Of course, would love to help 🙂

  2. Dubdub sounds like an amazing place/tool for those who make videos! Really enjoyed your video by the way (and your hair looks perfect!).
