One thing that I cannot preach enough of is the fact that we all need some self-care to keep us happy (and possibly sane). Unfortunately, even though I have given this recommendation time and time again to so many of my friends, I’m a little hypocritical when it comes to following my own advice. Over this past month, I’ve started a new job, moved into a new apartment and kind of just let myself slip when it comes to taking care of myself (which I have to say, is basically the worst thing ever).
What can I say? I’ve become busy. With little time to myself, I wanted to find ways that I could integrate more self-care into my new active routine. So, I kind of created some tips for myself to help guide me along a path of better health and happiness with help from Nature’s Bounty. If you’re looking to add little self-care love into your daily routine, here are my tips below!
Tip 1: Focus on the inside and the outside.
Since I’m super busy running around a lot of the time, I tend to worry that I’m not really taking care of myself as much as I should. You know we all do it – sometimes it’s just easier to grab take out when you’re busy, rather than eating foods that are probably way better for you. Since I wanted to look for a simple way to make sure that I was getting everything I needed to keep me feeling my best on the inside and out, for the past month I took Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies daily. Packed with antioxidants (Vitamin C & E), these gummies are filled with goodness that’s beneficial for your health. Tip 2: Take some time to pamper yourself.
When you’re having a long, hard or extra difficult day, it’s pretty easy to let that overwhelm you. What I started doing over the past month was trying to add some little pamper sessions into the days where I needed it most. The Lavender Essential Oil is one of my faves, as I’ve started adding a couple of drops to some water in a spray bottle and lightly dusting my pillows at night to make me feel more relaxed. Some days, I love hanging out in the tub to melt my troubles away. I quite enjoy adding a couple drops of the Eucalyptus Essential Oil into my baths to make my bathroom feel more like a spa. One of my favourite uses for the Nature’s Bounty Essential Oils? Mixing them with an almond oil or coconut oil base and using them as a massage oil. The Peppermint Essential Oil is my go-to for when I need a little TLC.
Tip 3: Put yourself first.
When you’re feeling down, stressed or kind of like a chicken with its head cut off, just remember that you need to put yourself first. After all, the happier you are, the more likely you can accomplish anything and everything that you’re trying to do.
I have to say, after taking the Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies on the regular and using the essential oils whenever I needed them, I not only feel great on the inside, but the outside as well! I can definitely see a difference in my hair, as it feels fuller and is even shinier than before. I swear my once brittle nails (I had to take off my Shellac during the move, don’t judge me) now even feel strong and appear healthier!
