I love all things brunch. I mean, who doesn’t like a meal that falls in between the early hours of breakfast and the later times of lunch? As well, brunch food is quite possibly the most delicious food on the face of the planet. If you can’t tell, I’m pretty passionate about my favourite time of the weekend.
A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend (some of you might know him as Mr. Cavaliere) invited me to be his plus one to a brunch at Ufficio. Ufficio is a super cute Italian-style eatery that specialized in seafood dishes and vegetarian meals. They also have cocktails & wine (so many bonus points given for that). I was super excited to take a visit and judge the restaurant within my three brunching standards: the atmosphere, the food, and the company.

First thing’s first, I needed a coffee. When taking a photo of this coffee, I did my best to include the super cute floor. So many restaurants these days have honeycomb tiles, so it was nice to see a little bit of a change. As well, these circular, almost subway-looking tiles were mixed and mingled into a pattern on the floor. Such a cute detail (and one that I’m sure many Instagrammers appreciate).
The rest of the restaurant had this gorgeous exposed brick, which was painted white. It made the restaurant feel very light and airy, yet also down to earth with some character. I was also absolutely obsessed with the shelves on the bar wall and how they added an open, yet industrial feel to a somewhat otherwise normal wall. This place definitely wins on the details front.

We all know that I love food; I love food a lot. And the dishes they served us were no exception. Everything we ate was full of colours, flavours and goodness. I especially loved the Porcini Agnolotti that had roasted wild mushrooms in an herb butter sauce. So. Much. Yum. I was also super full after eating here, which is clearly very important to me after enjoying a meal.
The cocktails were also super pretty, and so delish.

I was so happy that so many lovely faces that I haven’t gotten to see in a while were also brunching with us! Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals and catching up. Here’s a shot of me with the mister, sipping on our first cocktails of the day.
All in all, I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised with the brunch at Ufficio. I’ve seen so many cute photos of the spot on Instagram and it was lovely to experience brunch there for myself. If you’re in Toronto and looking for a cute spot to have some brunching adventures, you should definitely check this place out!
